metta mama events and workshops
Metta Mama Is Coming to Cloudbreak - Sausalito!
We’re so excited to share that Metta Mama classes are expanding to our Sausalito (Cloudbreak) studio, starting this January.
Yoga for Healing is a gentle, nervous-system–based class that supports the body’s natural capacity to heal. This class is for everyone - whether you are navigating trauma, chronic stress, back pain, illness or cancer recovery, injury, or simply the wear and tear of life.
The practice is alignment-based rather than vinyasa-based, blending mindful movement, breath awareness, and intentional rest to support nervous system regulation while building strength and stability. Emphasis is placed on creating a supportive foundation by strengthening the core, glutes, and upper back to promote spinal health and sustainable movement.
Movement is intentional, accessible, and adaptable, with generous use of props to create a sense of safety, support, and ease. This class offers a steady, compassionate space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and support healing on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
In a world that focuses so much on the arrival of the baby, this circle offers forgotten support and wisdom for the mother who is also about to be born.
You’re preparing for birth and a new baby, but are you ready to be transformed? In our culture, preparing ourselves for motherhood is too often replaced with birth preparation and collecting the right baby essentials. But the moment a baby is born, so is a mother, and women are typically caught off guard by the transformation that follows, a journey so profound it has its own name: matrescence.
Whether you are preparing forthis transformation for the first time or readying yourself to stretch from a mother of one to a mother of two, the shift you are about to experience is as big as birth.
Join us for a two-hour workshop where we’ll explore how anxiety functions in the body and mind — and how shifting our relationship to it can create greater freedom and ease.
Through the lens of yoga therapy, you’ll learn practical tools you can use anytime anxiety shows up, whether it’s a sudden wave or a constant background hum.
You’ll explore mindfulness techniques to cultivate calmness, learn effective communication tools, and build a supportive community with fellow dads.
Join Bay Area Baby Sleep Consultant Sarah Healy, MA for this 2 hour class exploring all things sleep in the first 12 months. Sarah will be addressing the common questions and struggles parents face with sleep for babies ages 0-12 months. You will learn about different sleep training approaches, how to set realistic expectations, how to prepare and plan for sleep training, and how to assess whether you and your baby are ready.

Join Jonathan Pofsky for the Mindful Dads Workshop!
Modern dads often feel stressed and seek deeper connections amidst their busy lives. If you’re looking to take a dad time-out and become more present with your family, this workshop is for you.
You’ll explore mindfulness techniques to cultivate calmness, learn effective communication tools, and build a supportive community with fellow dads.
Yoga is an excellent way to prepare the mind, body and spirit for the many transitions of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. In this popular workshop with Perinatal Teacher and Trainer Jane Austin, you and your partner will :
Learn techniques for breath awareness, massage and partner poses, which can help strengthen and relax your body, and soothe your mind during the birth process.
Connect more deeply to yourself, your partner and your baby.
We will also explore visualization and relaxation techniques that can further assist you during childbirth.
A productive labor begins when your body feels safe. When you feel supported, grounded, and regulated, your nervous system can shift out of fight-or-flight and into the parasympathetic state where labor hormones flow more efficiently. This sense of safety allows the body to soften, the pelvis to open, and contractions to work with you rather than against you.
This workshop is designed to help you feel at home in your body, understand what is happening physiologically, and learn how to regulate your nervous system so labor can unfold with more ease, confidence, and trust. You will be empowered to make your labor and delivery an experience that aligns with your values, your body, and your vision. You’ll learn how to recognize and respond to the signals your body sends to your brain, strengthening your connection to intuition and your body’s innate intelligence so you can make informed, embodied choices during labor.
